DECision and COmplexity Axis - Negotiation

This research group is working on the competitive and cooperative negotiation in multi-agent systems.
The negotiation is a conflict resolution technique. A conflict situation can be resolved by obtaining an agreement resulting from a process of negotiation.

In general, the research on the negotiation issue can be broken down into three broad themes:

  • Models and negotiation protocols (generic): the set of rules that govern the interaction ;
  • The objectives of the negotiation: interval of the criteria for which a solution must be achieved ;
  • Decision-making models of the agents: the means by which an agent achieves its objectives by following the negotiation rules.

The SMA (with JADE) is our development support in order to simulate and validate the modeling work.
